Asia’s bright green future is already here – it’s just not evenly distributed.

Asia is Green is an online publication focusing on sustainability solutions, ideas, technologies, tools, models, policies and trends in Asia. We hope to inspire and empower readers in Asia and around the world to share, participate and build Asia’s bright green future.

The environmental situation in Asia is not all doom and gloom. There are individuals, businesses, organisations and governments in Asia with ideas and taking action on sustainability. We hope to share these solutions, ideas and stories with our readers.

We believe in positive and solutions-based reporting, and yes, we are huge fans of Worldchanging and Alex Steffen.

Asia is Green is published by Green Future Solutions, a Singapore-based sustainability consulting company that helps businesses and organisations address environmental challenges and identify green opportunities.

Asia is Green first started in 2007 as a green resource guide for Singapore and Asia. We revamped the site in Oct 2013 with a new focus on Asia’s bright green future.

  2. Recently some provinces in the Philippines have been experiencing rising sea levels, extreme storms and an earthquake due to climate change and geology problems.

To contribute in addressing the aforementioned problems I have submitted last December 3 and 4, 2013 to Renewable Energy World-Asia two abstracts: a) Rural Electrification Utilizing Renewable Energy and b) Fostering Research and Development in Advanced Sustainability of the Built-Environment.

Humanity especially those living in the developing communities needs to learn new ways to: produce and use low-carbon energy; grow food in sustainable manner; build live-able communities or cities favorable to both social and environment issues and can generate employment and; implement an improved social, energy, environment, ecology and economic sustainability.

As the technology of today and tomorrow will not be developed in solitude, it is, and will be, carried out in collaborative research and in teams project implementation with a broad international set-up, to attain the favorable situation; thus, I am requesting your utmost cooperation, on behalf of your prestigious institution, to realize the worthy projects for human welfare and for our beautiful World.

    Happy New Year 2014!
