    <description>Pls read the post carefully again. Anyway, if the environmental NGOs and groups themselves don&#039;t feel a need for an alliance, then there&#039;s no need to have one. An alliance is only possible when those involved feel a need to form one.</description>

    <description>From all the 3 issues that you mentioned, it seems that what is needed in particular is an organisation that focuses on climate change? 

An issue centric alliance is actually rather suitable and effective. For example,  the marine groups in Singapore were brought together talk about the Marine Biodiversity Blueprint of Singapore. 

The bad vibe about overarching alliance is that usually the most valuable contribution of such alliance is the network or networking but nothing get done specifically. 

A loose mailing list of Eco partners like modifying your website or Wild Happenings news slightly may just serve the function of finding partnerships as and when needed. 

 Don&#039;t make it into a monthly get together official chit chat session?</description>
