    <description>While the effort on Climate change must come primarly from the countries that initiated the destructive practices we know, it is impossible for China to hide under the &quot;we won&#039;t do it until you do&quot;banner.
The Chinese government has to know how badly China will be affected - and in some parts IS already affected - by climate change. China is a major emitter, and the fact that it&#039;s not as rich as other countries won&#039;t change that scientific fact. The climate doesn&#039;t give a damn what you GDP is. 
Waiting for other states to get their act together is irresponsible. yes, they must be constantly pressured, but inaction on one part does not justify inaction from the others.
China should welcome stronger emission regulations in Poznan. It&#039;s in everyone&#039;s interest.
