Event: National Youth Environment Conference

The theme of the National Youth Environment Conference 2008 is “Cut to the Chase! Combat Climate Change!” This inaugural event aims to engage youths on the issue of climate change and addresses what they can do to mitigate climate change. During the conference, youths will be able to discuss issues on Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Water Issues, Waste Management and Biodiversity, with the Minister of the Environment and Water Resources, the CEO of NEA, and a youth environmentalist.
This conference is organised by the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) Council, National Youth Achievement Award Gold Award Holders’ Alumnus (NYAA GAHA) and the Singapore Science Centre, and supported by the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) and National Environment Agency (NEA).
