When you think of famous Western stars and environmentalism, you think of Leonardo DiCaprio. When you think of Asian stars and going green, who comes to your mind? Asian music and movie stars hardly talk about the environment and climate change but recently Taiwanese singer, Wang Leehom, has called for everyone to love our earth and make the world a better place with his latest Chinese album, Change Me.
He wrote the song, Change Me, and sings of how we can change ourselves, never give up and we can change the world. Watch the music video at this Youtube link. The album CD uses recycled paper packaging to replace plastic and there is a note inside on the ten tips you can do to save the earth. An eco website (in Chinese), Love Our Earth, was also set up with more resources on saving our planet.
We would love to see more Asian stars speak about climate change and the environment, and influence the younger generation to take action.
